How to build a lifetime horror watch history without inventing dates or turning every film into homework.
Start with what you remember
Open a decade or subgenre list and mark the films you have already seen. A childhood viewing whose date you cannot remember still belongs in your library. Last Light stores it as seen without an invented viewing date. It does not pretend that happened this year for a leaderboard or recap.
Keep “seen”, “liked”, and “want to watch” apart
These are three different facts. You may have seen a film you dislike. You may want to revisit one you barely remember. The quick Seen action records history; a rating records your opinion; a watchlist records intention. Keeping them separate makes recommendations and personal favourites more useful.
Make smaller lists before one giant ranking
Your ten favourite slashers may be easier to order than every horror film you have watched. Make a list for a decade, a director, a creature, or a particular mood. A personal list is yours to order, including choices that disagree with the editorial canon.
Your history should stay yours
Private ratings and history are private by default. Sharing a list creates a public link to that snapshot; joining a Coven shares the group’s nominations and lineup. Export your profile from Settings for a copy of your data. Public activity standings are optional and self-reported, not proof that somebody actually watched a film.
